USST Technology
Since 2011, Florida-based U.S. Submergent Technologies ® has provided safe and superior service, aggressive pricing, and innovative, patented technology to wastewater and other industries for cleaning hard-to-reach environments. In dry or submerged conditions, we clean structures others can’t, even when the structure being cleaned needs to remain fully operational during the cleaning process.
With over a decade of service under our tool belts, USST has demonstrated that our proprietary Combination3® technology and GritGone Process® enable us to deliver exemplary service for wastewater and stormwater utilities, power plants, and the oil and gas industries, as well as other verticals.
Does your project involve:
- A right angle and a siphon that must be cleaned while in operation?
- Over 1,000 feet of sanitary interceptor, accessible only through a manhole in a river?
- Vacuuming over 25-foot high walls and removing materials from 30-foot deep wells?
We’ve already tackled these challenging situations and many others with great success.
Let us tackle your next project.
Powerful Vacuum + Downhole Pump + Jetter + Extended Reach Boom = Combination3® Technology
While most vacuum trucks have only a vacuum, the patented Combination3® Truck features a jetter and combined vacuum plus downhole system to produce powerful results that other technologies cannot match.Combination3® technology
- Cleans while facilities remain in service with no facility shutdown or bypass pumping
- Removes material in submerged or surcharged conditions
- Reduces or potentially eliminates the need for confined space entry
- Produces paint-filter dry material, ready for disposal, with our GritGone Process®
- Includes extended reach with 49-foot extendable boom

GritGone Process®
The USST GritGone Process® significantly increases efficiency in submergent cleaning. By simultaneously separating the water from the sand in the debris box, the GritGone Process® speeds up debris removal and delivers debris at or near the stage required by most landfills, which is “paint filter dry”.Simply stated, the GritGone Process® is quicker, cheaper, safer, and more effective than other tank or wet-environment cleaning options available.
The GritGone Process®:
- Helps restore greater capacity to your system
- Helps increase your plant’s efficiency
- Makes infrastructure maintenance easier
- Typically occurs with no interruption to service at your facility
- Eliminates or reduces dewatering of removed debris

See, Clean & Verify®
The development of SediVision® technology was inspired by the work of U.S. Submergent Technologies and the awareness that, many times, utility managers or operators benefit greatly by knowing the quantity and location of debris in tanks.
In 2019, SediVision launched a patented process that enables visibility into the turbid water of tanks, large-diameter pipes, oxidation ditches, lagoons, and ponds. Essentially enabling utilities to “see” in dark water, SediVision precisely maps the location and quantity of debris within the structure.
When facilities need to See, Clean & Verify® the conditions inside of wastewater and other types of infrastructure, they can deploy SediVision to SEE and map debris, USST to CLEAN the tanks or pipes efficiently, and then can VERIFY results by re-scanning with SediVision or comparing tonnage from their disposal tickets with their initial SediVision mapped results.
Case Studies
Project research, case studies, and field studies from previous U.S. Submergent Technologies projects.USST’s powerful and versatile Combination3® Truck removed over 400 tons of material from an oxidation ditch. USST also worked with the City to take advantage of Florida’s Sand and Grit Grant program to help with restoration costs.
