Headquartered in Florida, USST is seeking to add a qualified Salesperson to its team.  This Salesperson will be primarily responsible for sales of USST services via direct phone calls, email and other personal contacts, as well as maintaining positive customer relations, in a specific area of Florida.

Main Duties: 

  • Seek out, develop and maintain positive client relationships
  • Generate and follow up on leads via direct phone calls and site visits
  • Schedule appointments and interview prospective customers
  • Successfully turn qualified leads into a sale
  • Collect data and measurements as needed on a project basis
  • Develop and provide job estimates and quotes as needed on a project basis
  • Maintain data documentation and reporting within Salesforce
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and obtain Purchase Orders within schedule
  • Assist Corporate Staff in identifying and developing new markets and geographic locals that may become new opportunities
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Attend client, company, and industry meetings and/or conferences as required
  • Approximately 50% travel required

 Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity of the wastewater/stormwater, oil and gas, or power plant and other industries is not required, but a plus
  • Demonstrate knowledge of selling practices and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Can articulate complex issues verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Strong team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five or more years of experience in sales -OR- a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and nine or more years of experience in sales
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle

Field Service Technician I, II

Headquartered in Florida, USST is seeking to add qualified Service Technicians to its team.  Service Technicians are primarily responsible for completing daily field duties in a safe and compliant manner as well as being highly motivated individuals with an excellent work ethic.

Main Duties:

  • Train in the understanding and efficient operation and troubleshooting of the USST Combination truck and GritGone ProcessSM as well other technologies
  • Maintain and safely operate pump trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks and other company vehicles, including pre and post-trip inspections
  • Complete and submit company forms and truck logs according to state and federal regulations
  • Communicate professionally and report any issues to appropriate internal personnel while continuously providing excellent customer service
  • Successfully complete safety training as provided by USST to become an expert in recognizing potential onsite safety hazards through communication and reporting
  • Properly employ personal protective equipment
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and maintain a spirit of cooperation and teamwork at all times
  • Willing and able to travel for several days at a time, nights and/or weekends when required; overtime can be expected
  • Perform all tasks as assigned, which includes work that is considered physical, and follow detailed direction
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity of the wastewater/stormwater, oil and gas, or power plant and other industries is not required, but a plus
  • Understand and be compliant with the Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles
  • Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Understands highway and traffic signals
  • Able to make legible entries on paperwork
  • Strong team player
  • Experience with vacuum trucks, tankers or roll-offs strongly desired
  • Must be able to operate manual transmission
  • Must have Florida CDL Class A, Tanker Endorsement and clean driving record
  • Requires 2-years of experience in heavy equipment operation and driving experience
  • Confined Space Entry Certification (course provided, experience preferred)
  • OSHA 10 (course provided, experience preferred)
  • Must be able to pass drug test and have a current medical card
  • Must be 21-years of age or older
  • High school diploma, or its equivalent

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 80-pounds or more
  • Physically able to work 8 to 12 hours per day in a variety of extreme environment conditions
  • Must be able to bend, climb, stoop, crawl, kneel, or crouch and exhibit normal range of body motion
  • Must be willing to work in confined spaces following OSHA requirements and near moving mechanical parts
  • Must be willing to manipulate heavy equipment control levers

Main Duties:

  • Train in the basic understanding of the USST Combination truck and GritGone ProcessSM as well other technologies
  • Successfully complete safety training as provided by USST to become an expert in recognizing potential onsite safety hazards through communication and reporting
